On the 4th March, Lewisham’s planning committee granted permission for the planned redevelopment of 22A- 24 Sydenham Road – a site previously owned by Nickell’s Blinds.

Permission has been granted for a four-storey building which will have 475 square metres of commercial on the ground floor plus 9 flats on the floors above (1 x 1 bedroom flat  and 8 x 2 bedroom flats). The new building is designed to blend with the existing frontage of Sydenham Road.

Let us hope that the developer can commence work as soon as possible so that a site which has remained empty for many years be brought back into use for good-quality housing and retail.
