Brahms and Dvorák
7.30pm, Thursday 6 March St Christopher’s Hospice 51-59 Lawrie Park Road SE26 6DZ
The cellist Tony Woollard, a regular to this concert series, is joined by violinist Sophie Ryan and pianist Dominic John to perform chamber music by Brahms and Dvorák. An early champion of Dvorák, Brahms saw in the younger composer a kindred spirit, and encouraged him throughout his career.
On the night you will hear both Dvorák’s folk-tinged Dumky Trio and Brahms’ Piano Quartet in C Minor – one a perfect foil for the other.
Tickets £10 (including canapes and drinks at interval) on door or to reserve your place telephone reception on 020 8768 4500
