Three Cane Whale

Multi-instrumental acoustic chamber-folk trio

Three Cane Whale is a multi-instrumental acoustic chamber-folk trio based in Bristol.

Expect a stage strewn with upwards of 15 instruments – some familiar, such as trumpet, mandolin and acoustic guitar; some beguilingly unusual, including the eerie bowed psaltery and a late-Victorian Scottish acoustic keyboard called the Dulcitone – allowing for some striking multiple instrumental combinations and an overall ‘soundworld’ unlike any other.

‘Perfect. A glorious adventure into new folk.’

‘Exquisite, elegant, atmospheric and charmingly quirky. Four stars’
