Work starts on new garden at Mayow Park
Flower beds close to the The Mayow Road entrance to Mayow Park are being given a major facelift. The scheme, designed by Ruth Robinson, is to create a meandering path through the two flower beds which will be replanted with scented herbs, flowers and fruit trees. This will create a fascinating walk for children and adults which will provide visual as well as sensual interest.
On Thursday April 7, members of Nature’s Gym, Grow Mayow, Friends of Mayow Park and other volunteers started work on the scheme, laying the meandering chipping and pine needle path through two of the flower beds.
Work will continue on the project at 11am on Thursday 14 April. If you’d like to help out you’ll be given a warm welcome. Please wear suitable gardening clothes and footwear.
