Save Sydenham Police Station

The Metropolitan Police are planning to relocate the Sydenham Safer Neighbourhood Team to Catford police station, Bromley Road SE6 and to sell the police station in Dartmouth Road SE26. This move could take place as soon as the end of March. We are very concerned about this proposal, particularly as Sydenham is experiencing high levels of crime (it is currently a “hotspot” for robbery and knife crime in Lewisham). The Sydenham Society is opposed to this move and will be seeking the support of councillors, traders and local organisations to help oppose it.
