Sydenham Gardens – Bird Boxing
Not a new Olympic sport … but still, under strict Rules and Guidelines local alternative theatre producer Bruno Roubicek will, with Roz Parker and participating audience, end up constructing bird boxes to the lasting benefit of the Albion Millennium Green.
Local theatre goers will know Roz from recent productions at The Dolphin, as D’Artagnan in the Three Musketeers and Gwendoline in the Importance of Being Earnest. The Albion Millennium Green occupies as former tennis club, now much taken over by trees and other wild life – an oasis of calm that’s open at all times to the public. Its potential as a performance space, respecting its essential spirit, is being explored following last year’s magical production of The Wind in the Willows during the Sydenham Arts Festival. Address: Albion Villas Road,Forest Hill, SE26 4DB.
