SAF Monday July 9 – Pissarro In South-East London
An illustrated talk by Kathleen Adler, the former director of education at the National Gallery and author of A Time and a Place: Near Sydenham Hill.
Camille Pissarro, the French impressionist painter, lived briefly in Norwood in 1870–71. He painted many local landmarks in Dulwich and Norwood, but his most famous painting is The Avenue, which includes St Bartholomew’s Church, the beautiful venue for this event.
The talk will be followed by a book signing with Kathleen Adler.
