Mayor cuts ribbon to celebrate the official opening of Forest Hill Pools

On Saturday 22 September thousands of local people attended the official opening day of the New Forest Hill Pool to see Lewisham Mayor, Sir Steve Bullock cut the ribbon, to look around the facilities and to attend meetings on the Portas fund and on the history of the pools by Steve Grindlay.

The brand new Forest Hill Pools incorporates the former Victorian frontage of the original building and features the refurbished 25 m pool flooded with natural light, a learning pool, a brand new health and fitness suite with the latest state of the art equipment and views over the pool, two new group exercise studios hosting over 40 classes a week, a community room for hire and a cafe and exhibition space for re-fuelling after a work out or relaxing with friends.
