Syd Soc event: visit to Sir John Soane’s Museum

Fri 26 April, meet at 1pm at Sydenham Station
Sir John Soane (1753-1837) was an English architect who specialised in the neo Classical style. The son of a bricklayer, he rose to the top of his profession. He designed the Dulwich Picture Gallery which, with its top-lit galleries, was a major influence on galleries and museums worldwide. His former home in Lincoln’s Inn Fields has been described as a “crazy labyrinth of art, architecture and history”.

Admission to the museum is free, but a donation of £5 is suggested. As numbers are limited, please email Alona Sheridan at sheridanalona@hotmail.com to book your place.
