Arts Festival – Swingin’ Sydenham

Following their rip-roaring closing performance at last year’s festival, the South London Jazz Orchestra are back to open this year’s proceedings with an evening of jazz and swing classics from the golden era of Big Band.  Fresh from performances at London’s 100 Club, Ealing Jazz Festival and countless bandstands right across the capital including the legendary Bull’s Head at Barnes, the SLJO have been wowing audiences with their size, enthusiasm and show-stopping swing style. Probably the world’s largest regularly performing big band, the SLJO is tonight conducted by the ever charismatic Bob Bridges. With a bar available on the night.
