Norwood Society where Alun Thomas will give an illustrated talk on the many eccentrics, pioneers and innovators who lived and worked in Upper Norwood and the surrounding area.
On Friday pianist Sergei Podobedov plays Chopin, Prokofiev, Schubert and Liszt whilst at 7.30pm The Overground Express: Spoken Word features an eclectic line-up of talent – Brendan Cleary, David Crystal, Tamsin Kendrick, Jazzman John Clarke, Emma Ako, Zuli Stenson, plus music from semi-acoustic Hapa trio Wondermare.
On Saturday Westow Park opens up for a day-long celebration of music, performances, sport, arts and crafts with a Lifestyle Zone featuring physios, an osteopath and personal trainers.
On Sunday the festival comes to an exhausting climax with a day-long music festival at Crystal Palace station, a World Cup Big Screen plus more restful events including Gardener’s Question Time and a Cider Festival.
