Dacres Wood Open Day

This hidden gem is on a 2.5 hectare site between Sydenham and Forest Hill stations. It’s along Dacres Road just after you pass Catling Close http://dacreswood.org.uk/find-us/

“We took our four-year-old to Dacres Wood this afternoon and had a wonderful time. It really is the gem of Sydenham, a small nature reserve with a pond, hidden away next to the railway line, off Dacres Road. The volunteers who look after it have done a fantastic job. It’s open between 1-4pm on the last Saturday of each month. If you have children, they will love it, especially trying to catch the tadpoles”.
