A fascinating look behind the scenes at the Royal Opera House Costume and Scenery Department at Thurrock. Home to the largest collection of theatre costumes in the UK, the collection contains more than 5,000 items, including shoes dating back to 1851.
The Costume Department, in charge of preserving and fitting the thousands of costumes that appear on stage at the Royal Opera House, is already hard at work getting ready for the forthcoming season which has 12 new productions and 27 revivals.
