Visit Carlyle’s House
Visit Carlyle’s House
Thursday 21 April
Visit Carlyle’s House at 24 Cheyne Row in Chelsea – the home of historian and philosopher Thomas Carlyle and his wife Jane Welsh Carlyle, a prominent woman of letters for nearly half a century.
The building dates from 1708 and is owned by the National Trust. It is preserved very much as it was when the Carlyles lived there.
If you aren’t already a member of the National Trust, and you’re a Sydenham Society member, you can get free entry using the free NT pass we receive annually from Civic Voice which entitles each of our members to visit a NT property for free.
Numbers may need to be limited, so please contact Jackie on 020 8778 5455 by 1 March to book your place.
