Meet at the junction between Hillcrest Close and High Level Drive SE26 6PA

Join the Wildlife Trust for a guided walk of Hillcrest Wood, Upper Sydenham, an ancient fragment of the once vast Great North Wood.

Hillcrest Wood is a valuable ancient woodland habitat brimming with birds, bats and bees. During the walk you’ll look at the trees that make up the woodland and the wildflowers that grow beneath them. We’ll see what wildlife we can spot and learn about the history of the Great North Wood and it’s vital role in the development of London.
