Train Timetable Changes in May 2018
Southern have published their latest (and probably final) plans for the May 2018 timetable, and the good news is that rather than taking away services from our line, there appear to be a few additions.
- There will be six trains an hour from Sydenham to London Bridge between 8am-9am
- There will be four trains an hour to/from London Bridge for the rest of the day, including the reinstatement of a missing service just after 18:00 from London Bridge
- Trains to Norwood Junction will continue to run in the morning peak, and onward services to East Croydon. This matches the current service levels
- Trains from London Bridge will finish half-an-hour earlier

Trains from London Bridge will continue at 4 per hour until just after midnight (with the loss of the train at 00:36) Although this timetable may look remarkably similar to the service we had back in 2011, it has been something of a fight for the Forest Hill Society and the Sydenham Society to convince Southern NOT to cut our services.
