Sydenham School – update and Virtual Art Show
Sydenham School PTA would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to their Covid-19 fundraising campaign. Set up to provide laptops and data for students who were unable to access their online education, the campaign raised more than £11,000 in a short space of time, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful community. As a result, no Sydenham School student has been excluded from online learning during the pandemic.

Virtual Art Show
Are you an artist? Are you looking to buy some amazing artwork? The Covid-19 crisis continues to raise challenges and the PTA has launched a second campaign – not just to raise funds for students in need but also to bring the community together in a celebration of creativity! The Sydenham School Virtual Art Show is open to everyone – young and old, professional or amateur – and the PTA would love to see your creations.
It costs £2 to exhibit an artwork in the online gallery, which is already filling up with beautiful paintings, drawings, etchings, collages and photos. Deadline for inclusion is 30 June. All artwork will be available to buy from 1 July for £10 each. Proceeds will go towards buying art supplies for the many students who can’t afford materials, upgrading out-of-date laptops, and addressing the impact of Covid-19 on students’ mental health.
Check out the gallery and find out more at www.virtualartshow.co.uk. The PTA awaits your masterpieces!
