Bell Green Update

Meeting 11am Saturday 8 June at the Sydenham Centre

On Tuesday 18th June, the independent planning inspectors will start their public examination of the new Lewisham Local Plan. The Bell Green Forum is meeting on Saturday 8th June, 11am at the Sydenham Centre (next to the post office on Sydenham Road), and hosting an all-ward community meeting. Assembly officers will be messaging everyone in the following wards: Bellingham, Forest Hill, Perry Vale, Rushey Green, and Sydenham. All welcome, so please spread the word. All assemblies and most public meetings are cancelled due to the latest pre-election period. The Bell Green Forum is therefore taking Sydenham Ward’s regular slot on Saturday 8th June, 11am at the Sydenham Centre.

The meeting will be strictly nonpolitical; councillors are welcome to attend, but will not be running the meeting, to respect election purdah rules.

There is a new development site, consulting us pre their formal application. It is the plot of land next to the Livesey’s bowls green, and will be important news for people living on the south-west corner of Selworthy Road & Perry Hill.
