Lewisham’s Licensing Committee have now granted a Bingo Premises Licence to Merkur Slots UK Ltd to run a gaming establishment at 53 Sydenham Road (formerly the premises of Santander). The licence has been granted to the applicants on the condition that the premises are closed between midnight to 9am Mondays to Sundays.

The applicant had requested a 24-hour license – this has been restricted.

Merkur Slots still need to gain planning permission to operate at these premises. This was refused by the Council’s planning department. Merkur could appeal this decision – we’ll keep you posted!
