It’s WEEE Week!
Until Saturday 1 October, various locations
WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment or, put simply, a broken toaster or radio that you no longer want.
During WEEE Week, a vehicle will be at one of the locations below between 8.30am and 12pm to collect your old and unwanted small electrical appliances. Bring old vacuum cleaners, radios, stereos, toasters, hairdryers, irons, microwaves, kettles, mobile phones, games consoles, computers and laptops for safe disposal. Please note: no TVs, fridges or fluorescent tubes as these are considered hazardous waste and cannot be accepted.
Weds 28th: Ladywell Fields College, Manwood Road SE4 1SA, 8.30am-12pm; Thurs 29th: All Saints Schools, Blackheath Vale, SE3 OTX, 8.30am-12pm and Sir Francis Drake School, Scawen Road, SE8 5AE, 1pm-4pm; Fri 30th: Edmund Waller Primary School, Waller Road, SE14 5LY, 8.30am-12pm; Sat 1st : Dacres Wood Nature Reserve, Dacres Road SE23, 11am-3pm (entry is near the junction of Dacres Road with Silverdale, between Homefield House and Catling Close).
