St Christopher’s Hospice Family Fun Day
One of the most eagerly-awaited local events of the summer – St Christopher’s Family Fun Day – is on Saturday 23 June 2012 from 11am until 4pm, at St Christopher’s Hospice, 51-59 Lawrie Park Road, Sydenham SE26 6DZ. For more information please call 020 8768 4575 or email r.kemp@stchristophers.org.uk
With so many special events going on in 2012, St Christopher’s Hospice hopes to welcome a record number of people to its annual Family Fun Day. For everyone at St Christopher’s the Family Fun Day is so important as it not only brings the local community into the hospice, raising awareness, it also helps to raise much needed funds.
The Family Fun Day is a great day out with something for everyone! Held in the hospice’s lovely gardens, it includes live entertainment such as local bands, dance troupes and magic shows. Popular children’s attractions are the dray horse and cart rides, bouncy castle and face painting; while for the adults there are many different stalls to browse, the BBQ (kindlysponsored this year by LV) and the beer tent.
Community Fundraiser Rebecca Kemp says: “We can’t wait to welcome the local community for a day of fun once again. Last year over 1,600 people joined us and we’re hoping to beat that record this year and attract 2,000 people to the Family Fun Day. Please come along and help us reach our target! St Christopher’s simply would not be able to operate without the support of the community; we are so grateful for all the support we receive and we hope to see you on 23 June!”
