Thursday, 3 October, 2013 – 19:30 to 21:30, Dame Cicely Saunders Room, St Christopher’s Hospice SE26 6DZ
Elena Margolina belongs to the leading interpreters of Schubert’s piano music. One of her recent CDs, F. Schubert’s ‘Sonata D 959 and Moments musicaux D 780’ was awarded the Supersonic Prize 2008 by the Magazine Pizzicato Luxemburg. She is welcomed as a guest in famous European concert halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie, L’Auditore Barcelona, St Petersburg Philharmonie, and the City Hall Glasgow. She has made many TV, CD and radio recordings.
‘…the listener feels Elena Margolina’s power and individuality of the Russian piano school: she has a wonderfully round sound and plays precisely, highly romantically, sensuously and still entirely controlled…’ Prof. Dr. Joachim Kaiser, music journalist
