St Christopher’s presents Leslie Howard in Concert

 7.30pm, Thursday 3 April St Christopher’s Hospice 51-59 Lawrie Park Road SE26 6DZ

Pianist Leslie Howard has appeared internationally with many of the world’s finest orchestras. His performances of chamber music and lieder include collaborations with the Amadeus Quartet, Benny Goodman and Sir Thomas Allen.

A citizen both of Britain and Australia he has accomplished a feat unequalled by any solo artist in recording history – his 99 CD survey for Hyperion of the complete piano music of Liszt, including all 17 works for piano and orchestra. For this he was awarded the six Grands Prix du Disque, the Medal of St. Stephen, and the Pro Cultura Hungarica award presented by the Hungarian President.

Tonight’s concert will feature works by Beethoven, Schubert and Liszt.
