Award-winning novelist and biographer Jonathan Coe – author of What a Carve Up!, The Rotters Club, The Closed Circle, The House of Sleep, Expo ‘58, Number 11, The Terrible Privacy of Maxwell Sim and The Rain Before It Falls – will be visiting Upstairs at the Sydenham Centre on Fri 30 June.
He will be talking about his life and work with author and broadcaster Matthew Sweet, followed by a Q&A from the audience, a short reading and book signing.
This is the first in a series of exciting author events, co-organised by Sydenham’s own professional theatre company Spontaneous Productions and Kirkdale Bookshop. Later in the year look out for young adult author Alex Wheatle and a storytelling event for grownups.
