Could you provide accommodation and support for a young person?
LBL are looking for people who have the space, motivation and time to provide Supported Lodgings accommodation to young people and unaccompanied asylum seekers preparing to leave care, aged 16–21. Supported Lodgings offers young people the opportunity to live in the home of a Supported Lodgings Provider Carer who will help them prepare for independent living in a safe and supportive environment.
The carer role includes supporting a young person to develop their life skills such as money management and cooking a meal, and to engage in employment, education or training, along with helping to build their confidence in accessing community resources. In return, carers receive a weekly payment of £250, training and support, and the opportunity to make a difference to a young person’s life. Find out more about our Supported Lodging scheme via our website or call us on Freephone 0800 015 0129.
