Erection of 20m telecom mast defeated

Mast on corner of Newlands Park and Studland Road refused

The installation of a 20m high telecommunications mast with six antenna with six antennas, wraparound equipment cabinet and additional freestanding cabinets on the corner Newlands Park and Studland Road has been refused by Bromley council.

Officers decided that because of the height, design and siting of the mast it would have a detrimental impact on the visual amenities of the street scene and the character of the area, appearing over-prominent and visually intrusive.

The proposal was refused after a wave of objections from locals.
